Media urls should include .swf extensions

description

At the moment public media url looks like: /media/0f923295-713b-418d-afbf-17675cdb6d9e/728x90_swf It should include the extension as ".swf" as otherwise Flash player will not be processing the file correctly. /media/0f923295-713b-418d-afbf-17675cdb6d9e/728x90.swf The same goes for flash/html5 videos f.e. .mov

Also make sure that filenames etc are escaped properly... i have a problem with ie a file that is being expanded to this

/media/0ebce2a8-87b2-4a60-adea-da91e6139b73/Publications/CO2_certificate_Quartz+Co_offsat_2010_pdf

where the + sign prevents the file from being downloaded

Can you point to which changeset this is fixed in? i still have the problem with unescaped + signs in a 4.0 website.

The swf fix was added in commit 21477.

If you still experience issues with media URLs and downloads please provide more info; I cannot repro any issues on recent builds.
